Bad Knee, Angry Husband.

Well my walking/running came to an end last weekend when we decided to go for 2 days on the motorbike to an area in the Black Forest. After spending hours on the back of the bike sitting with my legs in an uncomfortable position and my feet sort of twisted in, my right knee(which I've always had a problem with) seemed to get out of sync, and I've been in terrible pain ever since!
Voltaren didn't help so I moved on to a strong dose of Ibuprofen. I'm still walking in the mornings but very slowly and being careful to hold myself upright and step cautiously.
My Husband is in a state of anger and stress since he's just heard back from Gulf Air that they would only pay €800 compensation for his suitcase which got run over by a truck when they were unloading it from the plane. Inside the case he had about €2,000 worth of electrical and technical things from his computers etc. plus some of his clothes and other personal articles were absolutely destroyed!! The suitcase was also quite new and it is also kaput.
So now he is talking about lawyers etc and I am tiptoeing around him hoping to keep the peace.

Wishing an Hoping

I get up around 4.30, 5 o'clock each morning and as soon as it starts to break dawn I go for a run/fast walk for about 3 km. I'm trying to run a little more and walk less each day, with 2 hip replacements it's not so easy but I'll keep trying. It's not just about loosing weight but also to tighten up flabby muscles and become more healthier.
I find it also helps me to face the day which sometimes can become stressful as being married to a very German man is not easy!!!
Autumn is fast approaching and I would really like to get the garden finished before it gets too cold. Every day I plan what I should do but so far I don't seem to have "got there" Really have to get more motivated.

I have almost finished making my website, it was not easy but I think I am happy with the results so far.
Now I'm thinking about dinner, maybe roasted chicken  breast with roasted garlic filled capsicum and green peas and potatoes yum! I love to read all the food blogs and then think of ways to convert them to gluten free, I'm terribly good at making cakes etc but I don't have much of a sweet tooth anyway so it doesn't really matter but I wish I could find an old recipe for gluten free muffins made with rice flour it was very simple but they were delicious!
